Mark your calendars for the 3rd Annual Socio-Political Film Festival, Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at 7 p.m. in Capen Auditorium on the ISU campus.

Tonight, 7:00, at the Normal Theater, we're showing "Shakespeare Behind Bars," and the trailer for Brian Seay's film, "Pontiac's Rebellion." Thanks to the Illinois Shakespeare Festival for cosponsoring tonight's event!

Hey student filmmakers! We're announcing the The 2008 Living Democracy Video Contest! This year's theme is "The Value of Voter-owned Elections." We invite you to research election financing and submit a 2-10 minute video, which will be featured during our film festival in April 2009.

The 2nd annual Socio-Political Student Film Festival in Capen Auditorium went very well. We screened 12 student documentary videos (without any major technical difficulties, I might add), and awarded Dr. Steve Hunt the Voice of Conscience award for his dedication to civic engagement and promotion of documentary production on campus.
